Welcome

We are a new special education free school that is part of the Reach South Academy Trust. We offer full-time education, care and therapeutic support to pupils with education and healthcare plans. SAIL is welcoming and has a registration for up to 150 pupils and students aged between 4 to 19 with a primary diagnosis of autistic spectrum condition (ASC) or social, emotional, mental health (SEMH).

Our new school building has been converted to specifically meet the complex needs of our pupils and students. The design of the building and our curriculum will ensure that, where appropriate, pupils and students who are different ages or have different diagnosis, are able to be educated and cared for in bespoke spaces that meet their needs. Additionally, we house specialist environments including science laboratory, food technology room, a construction room, computer suites, a theatre room, therapy spaces, a sensory room, a trim trail, outdoor playgrounds and an outdoor multi-use games area. Our school is effectively 'zoned' to ensure there is no unnecessary mixing of ages and that all transitions are carefully managed, and our pupils and students are safe, happy and ready to learn.
