In 2025, no Key Stage 2 pupils at our school took the statutory SATs assessments, and no Year 1 pupils completed the Phonics Screening Check. This decision was based on pupils’ stage of learning rather than their age, ensuring that assessments pupils completing are appropriate, meaningful, and aligned with each learner’s individual development.
